    Default Dirty Bufflehead

Taken a a week or so ago at a local park. It was a little bright, so I try to expose for the whites. This bird got close as it was diving into the mud. Soon these birds will start getting more active with displays. Hope to get some action shots.

First of all, you are SO lucky to have this duck at a local park!!! You have taken a stunning subject and made it look even better with gorgeous light and a stunning pose in smooth water. My only suggestion would be crop a slight bit off of the left side.

You have a great color in your pond for ducks.
I like the muddy look and the nice angle.

Nice pose and beautiful water ... looks like a great situation for these guys!

Might try increasing the saturation a bit on the water and looks like it needs a bit of CCW rotation.

Nice low angle and colors. I would straiten the image so the duck is level.

Love this little duck and look forward to its passage through here in a couple of months. Great colours and low angle. Details look good too. Yes to a bit of CCW rotation, and I'm wondering if you have the full head reflection pre-crop?

Yes -- so much better with the full refection! Lovely colors -- I would take a little more off the top.

Hi Enrique, the light has brought out the colours so well, and I do like your low shooting angle. Killer smooth BG too. Well done on your repost.

A great subject to be able to capture locally.
