    Default Blue Jay

I've had no luck getting decent Blue Jay pictures in the past so I'm devoting more time to it this winter.
It helps tremendously that I've finally accepted the idea of using a blind.

I wasn't sure how to crop this image from this morning. I tried horizontal, vertical and square. I finally settled on horizontal (which is how I shot it) but I'm still unsure about the composition.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

I don't think the pose and the perch left you with any choice, very nice all the way to the feet detail.

Funny you should mention that you weren't sure how to crop this one b/c neither do I. Details and exposure looks spot on. I haven't seen the original, so it's tough to know how to crop.

HENRY, the pose would require this crop although I might take an inch off the right or move branch to the right an inch. I enjoy the Jays an the vivid blues
