Absolutely LOVE this preening pose. The mound of sand and graduated BG are killer. I would personally like to see a little more room on the right for the tail and a tad shaved off of the top. The catch light immediately looked added to my eyes but I think it is pretty well placed.
A very attractive shot, I also like the graduated background. It made me think It was taken At FT. Desoto. before I read it was. A nice pose.

Wonderful preening pose. The exposure works good and i love the colors and BG.
I agree with Marina, ".... little more room on the right for the tail and a tad shaved off of the top ... "
Excellent shot with very nice soft background.
Lovely preening pose, great exposure, colors and background.

Echo above comments. I feell a littl more room all around would be nice but no big deal
Cheers

Gorgeous pose and BG! I agree that a little more right and left would look good. Easy enough to manufacture if you didn't have it and not against your ethics.
Exposure is great and the BG leaves me speachless. I have to agree with Marina
Very good soft light, great details on both blacks and whites, a cool preening pose and clean BG. Every thing is great in this one, I just wish for more room all around the bird.
Repost per ya'lls suggestions, thank you for your input. I had to initially compose this file tight and subsequently crop tighter due to a couple other Terns on either side. Marina, their originally was a very faint catchlight which I tried to make more prominent, maybe I overdid it and in the repost tried to achieve a compromise between the two.
Repost works better for me and I love this preening pose. I see them do this a lot and you got it great with a nice ha and feathers in the bill.
