    Default Owl Yoga

This Great Horned Owl and its sibling had just fledged the previous day. When I returned to the nest the following day, neither fledgling could be found. It took me about 30 mins to track them down, and it was no easy task. This one took a break to give a little wing stretch. Interesting that he chose a perch which allowed him a view of the Gulf at sunset. Smart bird.

Comments and critiques are always welcomed and much appreciated.

Classic wing stretch Marina with the head dipped. I like the warm colours and good to have a clean BKG with no distracting elements. Nice that there is enough distance between wing tip and tree trunk so they are not touching/overlapping.

I'm with your Owl Marina can't wait for a view of the gulf, just booked a couple of weeks on Lido Key Sarasota. Sorry I digress, never seen an Owl in this pose before looks like it needs to hang on, not usually a fan of birds against the sky but this works very well, like it a lot.

Cool pose and I like that he seems to be watching you out of the corner of his eye. I think it could stand recropping from the left by getting rid of some of the tree.

What for a nice pose. At first i think the bird is falling from the perch. But the owl is in "stretching mode"
    Wonderful image, Marina.

Lovely image Marina. Your writing of looking for the owls and finally finding them is why we all do it. The beauty of nature nicely shown.

Looks good to me Marina I don't normally go for plain backdrops but this works fine.
    Interesting composition too.

This is one you earned! And very nicely captured! Taking some off the left could be a good alternate crop -- halfway into the tan bark would work for me.

Crazy pose and you got the youngster at the perfect age. They are really attractive at this stage I think….
