Always looking for a new challenge. A quick draw on the shutter and rapid fire but who knows which way they escape. A fun yet frustrating endeavor.

I would have taken this, probably posted it, shared it with friends, you name it, but.....
They are flying away. Otherwise, You have killer environment, great Bg and foreground,
Everything for the perfect shot, next time......

Douglas the Pheasant shooting season as just finished over in England but there are still plenty of these birds around, think you have done really well capturing these birds gliding back to there covert.

I don't mind them flying away too much and think this is a nice picture. Feel to me like it might need some CCW rotation.

    Nicely captured Douglas.
The pheasants look great. I would consider darkening the grass/brush at the bottom of the image as it is a similar shade to the birds and quite bright.

Nice wing detail, I would guess they were moving fast, nicely done.

For me, the picture works great... the BG matches both birds, you have both of them in focus and with the same wing position.
    Well done.

All the earth tones work nicely to bring out the color of the male. His head placed in front the dark area accentuates him nicely.

The image is not perfect but I agree with Emanuel. I think it is not easy to capture this fast birds.

A well captured shot indeed. I would tone down the pale stem on the left.
Very evocative of this country in fact. No one shoots around us so they are pretty common.
    Cheers
