    Hi There

Shot from my recent visit to the National Bird of Prey centre in the UK. this time of a young Saker Falcon called "Oman"
I enjoy shooting pictures of Saker Falcons as they are a little slower than my other Falcon quarry of Lanner & Peregrine. They also have less stamina which is why they tend to "pant" towards the end of their flying display.

I believe that you are becoming an expert on these birds......you certainly know your subjects. Pretty cool to get him with his tongue out panting. There's a faint catchlight in the eye which you might want to lighten to bring it out. Well done.

    John,

I like the BG and the position of the bird and wings. The underside of the wing has a weird looking green hue too it. You might also look at bringing the tonality of the bird down. Highlights are very bright and approaching looking washed out.

I didn't know birds got "out of breath." Very interesting.

I like the pose and the BG, but there is a bit of reflected green on the underside of the bird.

    Hi Robert

Thanks for taking a look, I have that problem with a lot of my images and I believe its because of the birds proximity to grass as they fly in display that light reflects off it and gives the green hue...

This one is 3 shots later.....he was really low..
