    Default THEME - Fracted Flip

A Flip for Dave with some Fractalius thrown in for fun. I'll come back later and comment on other images - thunderstorm brewing and I'm turning off the computer until it passes!

The beauty of this is that it grabs the mind -- in both a technical and interpretative sense -- as well as the eye. I'm not going to admit how long I've been looking at it.

I'm with Dennis on this one-just wow. The colors are simply amazing and the fractalius works nicely with it. I love how the conjoined heads actually look like pincers with a heart shaped face looking down at them from the center. Now for some psychedelic mood music...

Thanks, Hazel, Dennis and Randall It's hard for me to do flips of animals because I always feel sorry for turning them into odd looking creatures. The original image was one I had worked on last year and never posted. It had a clean background and I had added a light vignette which unfortunately softened some of the feathers a bit. The original flip looks more like a valentine with an evil ant face with pincers in the middle but I liked what Fractalius did to the feathers so I used it instead. I desaturated the background because it was very green and I wanted to have the face be the prominent feature.

Just up Dave's alley Cheryl! Great orb out of the egret to transform it into an other-worldly creature.

That's one of the best flips I've seen. I'm not a big flip fan in general, but that one is very cool and, like Dennis, I looked at it for a long time. The fract filter really makes it interesting.

Wonderful!! This is a different sort of "face" than the ones I usually see with flips.

After looking for a while, I see a birds eye view of a being embracing the eyes.

Well done! I had a good laugh at your description of the original flip as "a valentine with an evil ant face with pincers in the middle"! You did a great job with fractalius and I agree with having the bgkd desaturated. I like that the eyes of the egret look inward, giving further cohesiveness to the shape.

These creatures created with flips, etc. are weird. I'm finding them disturbing, though well done.

Honestly not sure how to comment or critique for this theme week... Everything is so unique it's up to personal interpretation.

this is very well done, love the shape and colors, the bird eyes are a little freaky like this.
