What a gorgeous color, and set against the perfect complementary BG! I really like the perch! If this is cropped at all, I wonder how a slightly looser crop would look. It frames the bird so nicely that it is a worthy addition to the image.

What a beautiful bird.
Lovely colors and BG. Tack sharp as well and nice light.
I find myself wishing for more DOF to see more detail in the tail.
It is easy to be an "armchair photographer" but in hindsight I would have jacked up the ISO to 1600 (the 1DX can handle that) to get an aperture of 13. But, that may not have been enough...
I could see this with a slightly looser crop but still nice as is,

Beautiful image of this colorful species. Great feather detail and exposure control on this one. The BG sets the bird off nicely and I dont mind the DOF as it concentrates us on the head better. Very nice.
