    Default Pond Slider (Trachemys scripta)

I'm not entirely sure I should include this in the THEME because the slider has been introduced to Arizona and has become established in ponds rather than being a native.
I do wish I hadn't clipped off his back foot.

Hi Ian - I think it works well for the theme despite being an introduced species. I agree with your self-critique about the foot but like the reflection and silky water. If it were mine, I would sharpen the head a little more.

Nice one Ian - I like the contrast and textures on the guy.
I was surprised by your SS setting as the water looks motion blurred to an extent

    Hi Ian

I like the tones, the water and the reflection. The foot does not bother me too much because I did not realise it was part of the turtle/tortise.. I have seen a few of these in my trips to the US, never knew what they were, thanks for the ID. I guess they call them sliders because they can't run...

    Hi Ian,
I don't mind about the foot much. Love the water flow and reflection. I agree with Rachel a tad more sharpness to the head would do great
    Have a great day
    Ciao
