I captured this image last October at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The heron took flight and crossed the trail I was walking, I got off three frames before it's back was to me.

Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-300mm shot at 300mm, 1/2500, F/8, ISO 1100, almost full frame, processed in Lightroom 5

Very nice, good pose and background. I would personally desaturate the yellows a tad bit.

Nice sharpness. Bg and eye contact are just as nice. The pano crop works for this pose, however in an ideal world the wing position would be less flat.

I agree it would have been ideal to not have as "flat" a wing position, but I'm still liking the gliding pose. Nice colours, BG, details. Light a bit harsh but dealt with best you could.

I find the pose and crop very pleasing. Wonder if the color overall is a bit saturated, but I don't know the bird that well. Is there a little more detail to be brought out of the darks? The Shadows and Highlights sliders are amazing. But maybe that gets into bringing up noise.
