Beautiful Duck, you really pulled a lot of detail out with such a bright bg. The head and beak especially so, Grand shot.

Nice Karl! A nice keeper for sure. Wing position is great and I really like the subtle highlights on the leading edge of the wing.

If I had to give criticism, I'd say I wish the left wing wasn't visible. But really, that's just looking at the details.

    Karl:

Excellent pose with full downstroke, slight angle towards us. In a perfect world I wish there was a bit more detail in the bg to give a greater sense of depth.

    Good timing.

Nice pose and bird placement, Karl. I agree with Bret that given the high contrast/dynamic range in this scene, you did a nice job getting details from the darks without blowing out the light bg.
And I'll disagree with Miguel - single winged flight shots just look awkward to me :) I like seeing the far wing. This purely boils down to personal preference.

    Excellent flight shot.
    I agree 100% with Randy's critique so I won't repeat it.

Your getting pretty good at duck flight shots Karl. Another good shot of a not to often photographed duck. I like the detail, wing position and the HA. I might try a little saturation boost to make it pop a bit more, it might of-set the bland BG a bit.
    Nice work.

You are getting quite a collection of these Duck flight photos..
Very nice, sharp as can be, you will get a better BG on the next one.

Killer flight pose, Karl. You were dealing with difficult lighting here and handled it well.
