    I captured this in September at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida.

    Nikon D7000, Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF shot at 300mm, 1/2500, F/8, ISO 1000, Matrix Metering, post processed in Lightroom 5

    Excellent landing pose, well exposed, clouds in bg help provide more sense of depth. I might experiment with cropping in a bit from the right to reduce the impact of the tree over the bird. Personal taste really.

    Joe:

    I think the repost has more impact. The bird clearly becomes the dominant visual component in the tighter crop, which is good in my opinion.I would however, try a version just slightly less tight, go back about 25% of the change you made. Really becomes personal taste.
