    The exposure looks spot on. Did you meter manually? I really struggle with black birds maybe I just need better light.

    Your images gives me something to aim for.

    Hi Sanjeev, good low angle, and you have captured a typical pose from these guys - running across water. Saying that, great view of the foot. The head being separated from the far wing would have put this up a few notches.

    Love the running pose and especially the look at the lobed toes on the right foot. The problem with the head position is not that the head is set against the far wing, but that the white bill gets lost in the white underwing feathers.... The position of the far wing is pefect; had the near-wing been more fully extended the image would have been a lot stronger. And getting the entire splash in the frame would have been icing on the cake.
