Very nice exposure, timing and light, Joe. Like the wispy clouds - adds character to the bg. Awesome pose. The bird is in the center of the frame. If you have more of the perch below, and if it isn't too distracting, I'd add to the bottom and crop from the top. TFS

This is much nicer than the thumbnail led me to believe.
I really like the wispy clouds in the BG and the landing pose.
The IQ is very good. Exposure is spot on.
I like your comp but could see taking a bit off the RHS and the bottom. ( complete opposite of Sid's thoughts). I like the wispy clouds so would keep them in. Comp is such a personal thing anyway...

Stuart and Sidarth, thank you for viewing and commenting, very much appreciated.

Sidarth I looked at the original, the tree branches below the crop line are distracting and disjointed.

Nice perch, landing pose and IQ. I would put the bird more up towards the RH corner.

Thanks for checking Joe. In that case I'll change my tune and sing the one Gail and Karl are singing :)

To all those who viewed my image and offered suggestions to improve it, here is what I came up with. I kept the wispy clouds, moved the bird slightly to the right, and cropped some off the bottom.

Hi Joseph, well exposed on the whites, and I do like the landing pose and that the ibis hasnt yet touched down. Before I saw your repost on the comp, that is exactly how I saw it.
