I processed this one a while ago but never posted it. We spent lots of time watching the polar bears sleep. Taken in August in the pack ice north of Svalbard.

    Rachel,

Looks like to me you did a good job retaining all the detail in the snow / ice. The photo is nice in crisp and I like the placement of the bear in the frame and how you included a little water in the foreground as well. Bear is nice and sharp. Very nice.

Lovely image in color, composition, and the pensive, sleepy look on this beautiful bear. Love the environment. Lovely work, Rachel !!

Hi Rachel, the colours on this work well and typifies the location, spot on. Good detail & clarity and I really like the undulations, cavities and how the ice pack is built a lovely backdrop. Personally I might have reduced a little on the LHS to reduce the central placement, but no deal breaker.

I too love the contours and colours in the ice, nicely offset by the bear Rachel.
The pose is quite comical. Nice one!

Hi Rachel, that water really looks cold. I like the hint of blue scattered through the pack ice, and great work with the overall exposure. This fellow must have been too lazy to lie down.
