    Default Snowshoe Hare, YNP

I just returned from an incredible day of shooting in YNP. I have only seen one other snowshoe hare in my 10 years of visiting the park in winter. Today I saw two, and had the unbelievable fortune of photographing this hare for almost 20 minutes as it preformed magically in front of my camera. The animated upright poses are as cute as one could ever imagine.

Hi Chas - looks like the hare is having fun in the snow. Excellent exp as usual and the flying snow really adds to the image.

Hi - I really like this what cool behavior you captured from this snowshoe hare! Love the falling snow, too. Congratulations!

Superb image of this under appreciated species, Chas. The water saturated coat is very nicely captured. Excellent work as always.

Magic is right. He almost looks fake! This is a wonderful image and the snow in the air adds to the fun. This would make a great Xmas card.

This is a cracker in all respects, Chas - well done here.
In a perfect world I would have liked him a little more to the left of that dark tree in the BG

I like the wet fur look, good details in the fur, almost like he was just stepping out of the shower. Deep colored eye well captured, the front paws looks like he was startled, in a good way. Nice image.

    Morkel,

I agree on the positioning of the tree in the background. I opted to give that space to a participant, knowing full well from where my bread is buttered, wink.
