Hello, photo of a wood duck taken at Crystal Springs Garden in Portland, OR. Overcast, a gray day. Duck was about 20 feet away.

    Terry,
Light not great for shooting today, glad to see you raised the ISO.
    IQ looks fine.
You know, it is pretty easy to get low at the Rhody garden. Ducks, like children, don't appear well in photographs
    looking down upon them.
The Wood ducks are easy to get close to, maybe try getting lower?

This bird has some nice color, and your sharpness is good. I like Dan's suggestion about a lower shooting angle. I might try to bring up the darks a bit, and I think the image needs some CW rotation.

IQ on the bird looks good and you did well considering the lousy light. If there is a way to find a lower vantage point to photograph these ducks, it will enhance the appeal of your images.

Hello responders, as you have suggested, I will try to capture a lower image angle. I may have to find some old clothes or rubber waders so I can get down and dirty.

    Thanks again...Terry Johnson

The colors and patterns came out pretty nice. I also like the water.

Thanks Karl, I liked the colors and water also, wood ducks are such colorful birds. They are pretty unique with deep, full, colors.

    Thanks again...Terry Johnson
