Something that has played on my mind for a while now is what to do with the wing tags on birds in images?

A lot of the Red kite in the country that are accessible have been wing tagged to monitor them. So when I had a trip to photograph them a lot of the kites had these tags.
Would you always remove the tags in photoshop in photos such as this.

    Nikon D7000 300mm F4 AF 1.4 tc. 1/500 sec f8

Ian, if your processing ethics allow then yes, indeed you could remove the tags (I would). If simply a documentation then you could leave them in, but artistically it would look better without them. Neat action and well done for the white sky you had. In the embedded exif it shows ISO 140. I'd boost that up to give you much more shutter speed for flight photography.

    Thanks Daniel.
I guess for what most people are trying to achieve here it would be best to try and remove them. Of course with raw we always have the unaltered version if a shot showing them tagged is ever needed as well.
