Some of you wanted more eye contact in my recent owl picture. Rightly so! Hope you like this one better.

Sweet image Grace..! these birds are sooo beautiful, you guys are lucky to have the opportunity to shoot them. This image is nice and sharp with a good pose. love those eyes and the stance over the kill. Not so sure about the crop but I never get that right anyway so I am not going to suggest anything...

    regards

Beautiful image Grace. Well done. Maybe a bit more space on the bottom, but maybe not... ;)

Grace, lovely image here with the prey. Good exposure, not sure what time of day, but I presume the sun was already high up and strong, thus the eyes look narrow, but you handled the white well. Low POV is the way to go here. TFS. Loi

Your hard work paid off in dividends on this one, Gail. Love the quality of this image...the light and feather details. Wouldn't have known it was a rabbit had you not mentioned it. Great job on handholding that big rig on your belly. Not an easy task.

Grace maybe a tad more at the bottom but that's been picky, excellent exposure on the bird showing great detail and the backdrop is just stunning.

    Lovely image Grace.

The subject looks very sharp especially with such a long focal length hand held. I like the twigs on the beach as it shows a bit of the environment and the prey adds interest.

Very very nice with excellent fieldcraft on your part.
Terrific light and environment. And with a rabbit!!Killer (pardon the pun) find.
I do like all the space you have left around her ( which allows for that nice blue line) but could see a version cropped a bit tighter top and right,

Love the bit of color at the top of the frame, Grace. Excellent job finding/stalking/capturing this moment.

This one's a beauty, Grace. Shows the value of sticking with it. No nits. I could imagine a bit off the top as an alternative, but then you'd lose the nice color at the top. Nice either way.

Great job getting this owl with it's catch Grace. The eye contact is solid and the exposure and detail look great and I like the smooth BG. Well done
