Based on the beak it is a juvi male, no long tail yet.

Thats a cracker !! I love that wing tip in the water and this looks like a bird that,s really moving !! Maybe a tad of USM but no big deal in my book.
    Great stuff.

Cool shot Karl with a nice pose and the wing touch is the icing on the cake. I like the exposure and the comp. The only problem for me is the catch in the eye is too messy and is giving the shot a soft look to it even though its not.
    Easy fix for you.
    Well done.

Excellent flight shot, Karl. Lovely low angle and nice wing position. Lighting was a bit challenging, I would try to lighten some area at the back and the wing.

Thanks David. You are right about the eye.
I fixed the catch light as single one and made it smaller.
I used linear dodge and burn to make the eye look better.

nice and sharp Karl. I like the wing tip that is touching the water. I just wish the sun was right behind you

    Nice flight shot Karl.
I think your respost is an improvement and agree that the wing skimming the water adds something extra to the image.

Excellent pose with the wing grazing the water surface, Karl. Repost with the catchlight fixed is great. Very nicely done and keep them coming please.

Great shot. I prefer the repost as well and like how the light reflects up under the bird.
