This image was made at a local butterfly house, when I just happened to catch the subject in between me and a gentleman wearing a red sweatshirt! Levels and selective sharpening only. EOS-1D Mark IIn, with the 100-400mm handheld at 370mm, ISO 400, 1/200 at f/16, with flash. All CC welcome.

Great detail in the butterfly Mike and an excellent pose. I suppose the red sweatshirt could pass for an OOF red flower, but an equally soft green-tone would have been nice!! :)

I LOVE the bright red BG. It really sets a mood! You've got a bit of a dark spot on the LRC - would like to see that either cloned out or vignetting added to all four corners so it looks a little more like it is supposed to be there. Otherwise, I rather love this image!

Sweet image Mike, the image really pops! Agree with the LRC comments. Also I would run NR on the BG to smooth it out a bit.

Very nice image, Mike. Hope you got a release for use of the sweatshirt! :D I think the red background works well with the butterfly but, to my eye, the flowers kind of get lost a bit against it. Still very nice image.

Good suggestion on cloning the LRC! Thanks to each of you for your input.
