These two penquins were actually preening each other, and I quite liked that the eyes of both penquins were open. Another penquin image with a foliage BG, as this is where they like to rest up and breed. Taken late afternoon during my december holidays in Cape Town.

Nice intimate shot Stuart. The poses are beautiful against that mottled green BG. Great job on the exposure and the feather detail looks great also. Well done Stuart.

Thanks Dan. Yep Cape Town in december can get pretty hot, but these guys live in the foliage just above the beach. Furthermore, the sea around Cape Town is very cold, ave 10 deg C, too cold for me to go for a swim, but perfect if you are a penquin.

Thanks everyone else for your feedback.

I have seen quite a bit of film footage with these birds. Aren't they just great!
A nice intimate moment. I'd like to see them a bit more central in this image but no deal breaker.

Great moment captured, Stuart. They look like as if sharing a secret. Great IQ as well.
