    Hi everyone,
I've been spending time posting and contributing to the Landscapes forum, so this is a change for me. Looking forward to your comments and suggestions!

Used LR 5 to crop a bit to straighten and remove distracting branches, sharpened beak and face a little, removed a little noise and also increased overall color vibrance.

Hi Andres, I love the heron's pose and especially the perch and how it is standing on it...very cool! Great vertical comp, and nice BG. The only thing is that I find the image bright, especially on the heron itself. It would be worth selectively toning it down for sure.

It's nice to see you over in avian, Andres. Love the pose, BG and perch. Agree with Daniel that the bird is very bright but that's an easy fix.

Thank you David and Marina for your comments. I knew I had overdone the brightness a little, but I think I was thinking about it in terms of printing the image. I have noticed that my images tend to be a little dark where I get them printed. Will definitively have that in mind when posting.

    Thanks again!

Great portrait of a very skidish bird, toning it down as mention by Daniel is good advise.

dark prints are usually a lack of proper profiles for monitor and printer... ;)

    something like this for adjustments...
