One from the weekend - maybe a bit tight in the frame .

Really need to recrop so there is more room in front of the bird (rather than behind)

    Very Very dark overcast day

Very nice pose. I would like to see a little space at the top and a little more sharpness though. The eye could be tweaked a litte also. I downloaded this (hope you don't mind) and played around with the sharpness, but, I couldn't sharpen the jpg without ending up with halos. You could go back to the original file and sharpen a bit more. I did work on the eye, applied a linear curve and saturated the yellows a little.

beautiful bird and nice capture, lance!! agree with your self assessment. would add some canvas to the right and above. i guess the catchlight in the eye is a matter of taste on this one. i prefer without, but with more sharpening of the eye area. cant wait to see the repost of your work!!

Hi Lance Good looking bird with a great pose Agree with your asestments. Dan's re-post looks very good and all it need is the adding canvas (best to do in camera). Particularly like the good detail in the whites and excellent head turn !!!
