    Default Northern Hawk Owl

I figured out how to post a picture (I believe).

    Very nice first post!
Beautiful bird, cool pose, and a terrific eye…
You probably didn't need f9 which would have given a bit more SS for the wings, but very nice as is.
I might go a tad larger in the frame, the IQ looks plenty good enough if you are so inclined.
    Keep them coming.

    Thanks Don,
I was going to mention that by the time I realized I was stopped down to f9, the bird was gone, subsequent pictures are at f5.6, but the bird is perched and I liked this flight shot better, possibly because I have many of it perched and only 3 of it in flight.

Any day you get a northern hawk owl is a good day!
Not too many flight shots posted of this species so congrats on getting this.
I think this could be sharpened a bit more and the IQ( although good) has suffered a bit from the crop.
I would go looser in the frame personally,
    Gail

Looks like you indeed figured out how to post an image. Great bird, and in flight too. The face looks nice and sharp. Good sky BG with subtle clouds in there. I'd have placed the subject a little lower in the frame though.

Welcome to BPN Joshua, and hoping to see more...
