Hi, Wendy, this "fits" the theme nicely
I'm conflicted about the two dark spots in the water - the one under the turtle's nose and a smaller one further down towards the bottom.

I like the subtle ripples in the water very much. Having the water as the only background makes what we can see of the turtle's head really stand out even though it's actually proportionally small. That seems like a good formula for a highly effective small-in-the-frame image. In spite of its simplicity, it's an image that grabs and holds my attention.

Perfect small in the frame image! The frog's head stands out nicely from the beautiful blue water. I like that the water has some texture to it. I'm a bit confused about the yellow diagonal line on the frog and reflection. What is it?

Wendy,
Greetings. Thanks for saying what this is (I still see it as a seal with racing stripes ;-). Great water treatment... the subtle texture really works well. If it were mine, I would go a bit smaller in frame (since you mentioned the crop) and remove the dots.
Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Fits the theme perfectly. I thought it was a frog, but can see turtle now that you mention it. Maybe just a bit too blended since others have a problem with identity, too. but it does well iin the theme

Congratulations on third place.

Thanks, Anita! And, by the way, in answer to your earlier question about the diagonal line on the frog (turtle, actually) and reflection, I'm not sure either. Not a very satisfactory answer....
