Gail, great pose, sharpness, details, in goo dlight. I like the inclusion of the habitat. TFS. Loi

Great shot Gail, the clarity of the image just grabs my attention and those EYES, where you the bait? :-) The feather detail is this image is what I strive for. The quality of the image far outweighs the small amount of brown in the background. I think it needs it to give the image some depth! Beautiful!

    Hi gail
There's been some great Snowy shots of late gail and this is up with the best. I keep going backto the dark line of habitat in the back . Any chance of a tone down? - but no big deal - still a cacking shot. As Rob says - the hedge in the back or whatever gives it some depth. And as you know I donn,t usually go for plain backdrops.
    Cheers

    Hi Gail,

Amazing shot. It is one of the best Snowy flight shots I have ever seen.

I can't tell from your information if this was hand held or on a tripod?

Very nice Gail. There have been allot of great owl shots posted lately and this one is really sweet. The fist thing I noticed when I saw this is that it is one of the few snowy shots I have seen in sunshine. You must have been lucky to have gotten some sun up there. It really lit up the eyes well and made the black stronger. Great head turn, wing position and feather details in this one. Beautiful flight shot.

Excellent shooting angle, wing position and eye contact, Gail. The light was coming from the right direction which is always a plus.
    Exposure looks spot on.

Beautiful capture Gail, I might be inclined to clone and blend out the brown.

Hi Gail, now you are just showing off. Love the wing position, and really great exposure and sharpness. The snowy is nicely separated from the BG, and the eye contact with the head turn takes this over the top. Well captured.

Gail- it has all been said above, fantastic wing position, light and sharpness. I don't mind the bg a bit. It all works for me.

Gail those eyes are fixed on something ,it's all been well covered above, all it leaves me to say is that I'm green with envy.

    Beautiful sunlit photo.
I really envy you guys and gals, when the irruption occured last winter on the Oregon Coast,
the bird organizations would have had us arrested if we had baited!

    Very nice eye contact.

Absolutely incredible! I could see a version with some off the top, and the left if you want to keep the aspect ratio. I love the BG.
