    Default Great Blue Heron

A bit busy background, but I like the wing pose. Also the colors that day while harsh, helped to really bring out the textures. I would love any comments or critiques.

you had nice light and a good wing position, BG is a bit busy here and he had passed you a bit. you could use a bit more room on the left

Hi Dvir, nice capture and posture, I agree with Arash about more room to the left, but you are gaining experience and at 17 this is really good and in time your composition will also improve. Personally I might have flipped it L to R so it's flying in, rather than out, old habits.

Yes I am still learning, I think that more time in the field is the best cure to experience. I agree that more room to the left could work. To answer the fact that its not 100% parallel to me is that its actually flying at about a 30 degree angle to my position so its not quite flying with me per say.

Hi Dvir, good wing position showing the feather detail nicely, and the heron does stand out against the grass BG. Another vote for more room on the LHS.

Thanks all for the comments, I agree that more room to the left would help. Also the background is, as I said a bit busy.
