    You caught this in a really great position. Love the angelic wings too. One of the nicest in flight heron shots that I,ve seen.

    Grey herons can give some ungainly poses, but they all work for me. Comp wise, I would come in from the RHS a bit.

    Lovely pose and nice exposure. I'd move the bird further up in the frame and crop a bit from the right as Stu suggested.

    Very nice image good techs not quite sure about composition - possibly move the bird up and to the right, or leave it lowish and add a little canvas on the left?
