    Taken at the weekend on the Fyled coast Noth West England,cannon 500mm IS L F4,7D,tripod, FL 700MM,crop,sharpened for web,ISO1250,1/800S,F5.6.

    Chris I always have a problem getting these birds to look right, looking at this you have no such problem, bird looks very good and sits very well on a nice clean BG,would be well pleased with this.

    Sure is different seeing one in the grass like that. Good low angle, head angle, details. A bit of fill-flash would have done wonders here IMO.

    Hi Chris, I like the low perspective, and good DOF on the turnstone. I would try a version with lightening the bird a touch.

    What a refreshing change to see a turnstone in the grass and not on the beach.
    Good POV and pose.
    I would selectively brighten the bird (unless it introduces too much noise).

    The green habitat fits very good to the bird. Like the pose and the details. Well done.

    Awesome stuff Chris. I've never seen a turnstone in such a lush green setting. Lovely details, eye contact, bird placement and comp.
