I must credit Daniel Cadieux for this image. I don't know if he approves of the name we gave "his" owl but we thought it was perfect for her. It is also a very bilingual name! Owl baited.

    Beautiful image!

I have never seen a Snowy Owl, since I live in the Caribbean. Are they tamed? Its seems you can approach them a bit form the photos I see.

Eyes looking straight us and the wings raised evenly makes for a very captivating shot. Very nice. Great work.

At this rate, you guys are going to cost me a ticket to Canada :)

PS: how about moving the bird ever so slightly to the right so the bird is centered?

A real beauty Gail! I like the raised wings, exposure, IQ, details and icy perch. One of your best.

Gail, I'd say this is the "White Knight" as it reminds me of Bat Man landing pose. Just gorgeous! TFS. Loi

excellent wing positions and eye contact, not to mention the view of the sharp talons. The wide open eyes really make the snowy shots for me

Love the name Gail! I also love the picture. That thick hard icy crust on the surface we had that morning was sure helping get those talons visible, the difficult (not to mention drenched) walk was worth it.

This Owl was lured in using bait to get this image and others posted here of it....they are not tame or approachable within reason.

I like the eyes and the outstretched wings...not a huge fan of white on white but it seems to be the trend with all the snow the northern areas are getting so you take what nature offers. Great exposure.

Love the white on white and the symmetry, eyes and talons. All has been said above.
