Another shot of the Snowy Egret (the same one from before) fishing for some fish, and actually catching one. I just love those amazing feathers, no wonder they were hunted for women's hats.

Hi Dvir and welcome to BPN,
I like the fish in the beak and the fact that the fish eye is visible.
I wish you had been lower to the ground for this image. Looking down on a subject is never as pleasing as an eye level shot.
I would also put more room all around the bird as well as the image feels tight.
The whites look good exposure wise but I might reduce the contrast a bit.
If not against your ethics I would clone out the round black spot/shadow on the top of the head and the specular highlights on the legs.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work and participation on the forum,
    Gail

Hi Dvir, I love the wind swept feathers, and even more that the egret has caught his next nibble. I agree a lower shooting angle would have been better, but maybe it wasnt possible. I felt the snowy had a bit of a red cast to it, so here is my version with a reduction of the reds.

Angle nit covered that apart there is a lot to like about this image particularly that excellent feather detail, think Stuart had a point re the red cast. Would be very pleased with this.

Great shot- love the feather detail. Couldn't see any red but I,m red green CB anyway. Maybe the blue is a bit too vibrant but if thats how itwas -fine.

Excellent shot Dvir. Agree with everything that has been said except for the reddish cast but I am also R/G colorblind.

Ok here is my newer version with less reds on the bird plus removed the highlights on both feet and the mark on the head. Not sure I did the best job on the color cast removal still figuring it all out.
