Hi Jonathan,I can't really see what you have fiddled on Photoshop but I do like your image with a real different pose on the bird, only suggestion I would make would be maybe a little more on the left if you have it .

a very dynamic and eye catching pose Jonathan. To me it looks a bit cramped in the frame and more space would be nice.
photoshop fiddle? not sure - just a simple rotation?

Nice action-image, Jonathan. LIke the lichen perch, colours and BG.
It was hard work to translate "Photoshop fiddle" My translator said: Viloin But i have found it: wangle, manipulation.
Ok, i can not see any Photoshop fiddle.

Too funny that Holger had a tough time with "fiddle." I would guess you clipped the tail and possibly even a little of the wingtip when he flipped over. Love the perch. I think this image would have been even more pleasing without the raised wings. It's a bit cramped for my taste. I find that it's best to stand back a little father than you think you have to for set ups such as this. We tend to get excited and want to fill the frame but standing back a little offers some great opportunities when the behaviors ensue.

Love the light and the perch but agree it feels tight.
I am not able to detect your PP work. Maybe some eye doctoring and cleaning the bill? More likely you clipped the top of the tail. In any case you did a great job,

Cool pose with great detail. Perch looks a little bright to me. I love how the yellows in the perch pull the yellows on the bird.

Yeah, i learn with birdphotographers english. And it helps. Only the translation-programms works not so good. And I need to work on my spelling. I mean violin and not Viloin

Nice & sharp Jon, like the slight open bill and vibrant colours. There looks to be like a 'fuzzy' soft halo around the small feathers just behind the main wing? I would look also to selectively dropping the Red, Blue & Magenta to give a cleaner white within the body feathers.

    Hi Jon
Interesting shot. As for the fiddling. Did you put the background top in just for me ???

Thanks very much everyone, the Photoshop fiddle was the eye. The eye was taken from a previous image of this bird, the one in this particular frame was very dark, I made a mask of the eye from one image , copied then pasted it then reoriented it to get the correct angle, lowering and raising the opacity I could double check the correct size also.
