Hello just joined new member been on the site a couple of weeks.I am new to all of this been shooting my canon 5d mark11 since June .Struggling ever since started with Photoshop elements in august. I have always worked with my hands never did any computer work typing etc. Histograms exposure compensation highlites all very confusing too many bells and whistles. I think i am finally starting to grasp it. Always been a outdoors person love nature and the challenge of taking quality pictures I have been having trouble navigating the site some what but finally getting the hang of it. I am really impressed with the quality of the pictures and am learning a lot off the site.

Hi Kevin, welcome to BPN, and thank you for the membership support! Yep, the processing part of photography can be quite a learning curve...but you've come to the right place to get you going. Lots of excellent information in our "Tutorials and Educational Resources" forum. Looking forward to your participation!

Welcome to BPN, Kevin! You'll get the hang of processing, it just takes some time to learn. Heck, I've been working with Photoshop for at least 9-10 years, and I'm still refining my workflow. Looking forward to your participation, and if you have any questions just ask!

Hi Kevin and welcome to BPN. Thanks much for the support of your membership. I myself was not blessed with technical know how and I have no patience for the learning process at all. I found just getting in there and playing around I was able to pick up on things and posting images here with any questions has been such a great help for me. There is so much to learn here and so many wonderful people who want to help so don't be shy. Get in and start posting!

Hello and a big welcome to BPN, Kevin. Once you learn to read your histogram on the back of your camera, it will go a long way with your photography in determining your exposure and highlights. Make sure you read the manual for your camera...most people don't. There are a # of really great tutorials in the Tutorials & Educational Resources forum which will really benefit you. Looking forward to your sharing some of your images! You could always start by posting an image in the Eager to Learn forum!
