Little owl
Thought it was at least a bit different !(Nice if you like bricks !!)
This is just a small part of the barn wall where theywould emerge from. They had the choice of about 160 holes. It got like a game guessing which hole to look at !!This is one of the adults. At least the young used one row lower down.

I absolutely love this image, Johnny, as well as your title. I pulled it into PS to see if there were any other obvious crop choices. It's a tough call. Is there any chance you could upload the original?
Well "scene" John!
I played with the comp a bit and I really like a version with a pano crop ( from the bottom) so that only 1 row of holes is visible .
In any case it is a fun shot and fun to look at,
Gail
Thanks all
Some one else suggested a piano crop on another orum so I,ll try it later.
I think Stuart got it right seriously. The barn was built about 1700 and in fact the bottom half has some funny bits level wise !
Thanks for looking.
John
Heres a pano crop. Not sure about this myself. See what others think.
Marina- there's not much difference on the original regarding the brick layers

John
Thanks all.
I think I agree . I like the first.Worth a try though.
Just realised -I didn't do any sharpening. They both look a bit soft now I,ve cleaned myglasses !!

Of the two, I prefer the original comp, John. But this is one of those images that I'd have fun trying different comps with. I suspect if you posted the original full frame image you'd be inviting a few reposts
Looks good to me Marina. Thanks.
Spent about 3 hours last night looking for the original. Must have gone when I lost three months stuff a while back(lost it whilst backing up as well )
At least with this crop I can print two on one piece of paper!!!
Cheers
