Hi Sanjeev, I rather like this, but I don't know why? Perhaps it just reminds me of those carvings you can get and someone as just randomly placed them around and in the grass? Having two looking away isn't ideal, but you have no control over that. I might look to trying to get a bit more colour into the sky, I know is was probably like that, minimal, but IMHO a hint more colour would be good, but lets see what others say.

PS Did you see the RP on the impala?

I agree with SK. I think darkening the sky would make the clouds more visible & add more depth to the image. I also like the image for its pastoral quality.

    Sanjeev,

I am a big fan of showing animals in their enviroment. Unfortunately IMHO I found that each giraffe going in a differnet direction makes the image appear unbalanced. My eye picked up on that more then the sky.

Hi Sanjeeve, do you have more room at the bottom? I feel the image is a bit tight at the bottom and too much space given to the sky. I'm with David in that it is a pity that 2 of the giraffe in the bG looking away. Loi

Hi Sanjeev - nice classic savannah scene with good dof. Yes, in an ideal world the other giraffes would be facing you or at least in profile. I agree about darkening the sky and bringing out the clouds a bit. I also would prefer a bit more room below.

Hi Sanjeev, just looking at the image again, taking a 16x9 format, working from bottom RHC to the full width could also work, or perhaps just try. Personally I'm OK with the space at the foot, but we all see things differently.

Nice scene Sanjeev - at least the main giraffe (the one lying down) is looking the right way
The sky doesn't have much in the way of cloud detail that can be extracted so I would also support cropping to 16x9 pano format losing much of the sky.
I'm okay with space at the bottom.

    Hello Sanjeev,

I guess we like this image because it has a story to tell, with the three giraffe walking away and then there's this stubborn chap who decides he won't follow Have you thought of a pano crop -like Morkel suggested- Sanjeev? I think it would work very well here. And I agree with Steve, adding a bit more colour to the sky would make this more dramatic

    Kind regards,

    Hi Sanjeev,

I like the way the giraffes are all facing in different directions. It almost gives the feeling that they are all on guard, protecting the one that's lying down in the foreground. The standing giraffes also contribute strong leading lines, all centered on the foreground animal, making for a strong composition. Nicely done.
