Very nice photo of a very attractive species.
Bird, BG and perch all very nice.
A tad smaller perch would be perfect, but very good as is.

Hi Dave, lovely shot the bird looks sharp without being harsh if you understand what I mean, bird sits well on that nice clean BG.

What a delightful looking bird and great job on exposure and feather details. Love how it bird matches it's BG. Good job on the flash work.

Superb crispness on the bird. Agree the perch could be more attractive but then if this is not a set up, then you take it where you can. I would have preferred a little backgound detail to put the bird into context a little more. Fine shot.

What a gorgeous little bird captured against a nice pastel background. The flash work is solid. With a bird this beautiful, the perch does not need to add much, but yes, if this was a set up, you could work on something a bit more inspirational....if not, then totally disregard. Would love to see this little gem posted at the full size allowed too. :)

Lovely shot I like the pose. I would be inclined to lower the brightness just a tiny weeny bit - it makes a big difference to an already fine image.

Thank you for the very encouraging comments! Just to clarify, this wasn't a set up so couldn't help the perch. Jon, I think it does look better a tad darker. Thanks again all.
