    First half-way decent images I have of this species. But given their cooperative location at Viera, its hard not to get a good image of them.

    Hi Rich,

    Very nice eye level for these little guys. I think the composition could improve with less room at the bottom and a little more on top, this will also allow you to remove the birds from the center of the frame.

    Love the head peaking out and the nice soft BG. Sharpness is good. Perhaps a little more room on the left of the frame, and I might tone down the tree trunk (either by blurring slighty, burning, or both).

    Agree with Maxis to crop a bit off the bottom.

    Nice head angles
    Have the birds started nesting or is the male still excavating the hole here

    Great light and comp here with great colour. f 8 might have been better here just for better DOF. I will still take this any day well done

    Light direction was perfect. Pretty background and you got two in one! Nits mentioned - excellent post.
