    Stuart excellent portrait of the bird with very good sharp detail, the BG does look a bit noisy but that could be my fixation with noise so if I have it wrong please ignore me.

    I like the sharpness, exposure, details and curves of the neck. I agree that the BG need some more NR. I tried a closer crop of the head, neck and upper body and liked it. Nice image Stuart.

    Lovely portrait of the heron and nice composition

    I cannot pinpoint what it is but it seems the face/eye area is either a bit washed out, or doesnt pop out against the background for some reason. Couldnt tell you whether it needs a play with the midtones or a bit more sharpening around the eye but it feels that it could do with something to take it up one more notch

    May be my monitor though
