    I like the pose, sharpness, exposure, water colour and HA. Composition wise I would lose about half the amount below the Smew and try a pano version.

    Gorgeous water colors, and magical little movements in the water. I like the size of the subject in the frame. Exposure looks perfect. The catchlight on the bird looks huge. I enjoy the composition as is because of all the wonderful vertical lines in the water, as well as the off extended reflection of the bird. Not saying a pano would not work, I think it would, just saying I enjoy this a great deal as is.

    Lovely, peaceful image, Frank. While a pano crop would be pleasing as well, I think one of the details I like most about this crop is the textured, artistic look to the green water in the bottom FG. Well seen and executed. The bird was obviously quite far, and you did a great job creating a very pleasing image with what you had to work with.
