    Default Wood Stork

This was taken in St Pete Beach, Florida in December. The Wood Stork was on a cement breakwall just before a bridge. I did some images further away then decided to get some close ups. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Hello Jim, nice head shot of the Wood Stork. On my display it appears a touch soft, I think you can get more detail from the image if you have another go at it. I noticed from your posts that you photograph in Florida at many of the same places I go to, maybe our paths will cross someday.

Thanks Stuart, Joe and Keith. Posted this in a hurry this morning and I forgot to sharpen the image after downsizing, so here is a repost. Joe the Florida images that I have been posting lately were from a one week trip to the area. Maybe when I return we will cross paths. You live in a beautiful area.

Much better, Jim. If you can get back down to Florida in early April it is a great time for songbirds and warblers at the Mulberry Trees in Ft. Desoto County Park in Pinellas County.

Thanks for the information Joe. I've been mistakenly calling Fort Desoto a State Park instead of a County Park.

Excellent exposure and lovely details, Jim. You had beautiful light. An elegant portrait. This species is generally regarded ugly for some reason, but I find it quite beautiful.

Repost rocks. Perfect exposure control. A beautiful and interesting looking bird. Sweet head angle. Also, the stork looks great against the water background.
