    Default Sleepy Snowy

One more from from my encounter with this lovely bird in late November. She was sleeping for most of the time that I hunkered down and watched her, roused only by a low-flying helicopter over the beach at one point. I did manage a few images with eyes open, but I also liked the yawn in this frame. C&C always appreciated. (Oops; meant the title to read "Sleepy Snowy" but can't change it now.)

Hi Bill Just how I feel at the moment ! . We,ve seen a lot of shots of these of late- all good - and this is no exception. As you know - I,m not keen on pure plain back grounds and this pic shows why. In my humble opinion the bits of grass make it- puts the whole shot into context..
See you have a decent Nikon too !!!

Wonderful image, a Snowy Owl yawning. Your image brings to mind the reports of a Snowy Owl on Little Talbot Island in Florida, it is at a beach like your image. Such a beautiful bird, great capture.

So cute! The light looks strong from the shadow, but you handled the exposure very well, Bill. Great detail and sharpness. Love it. TFS. Loi
