I like the HA and pose, and those blue feathers are something else. The bacground I find a little distracting and suggest you might take some off the left and the top. Another nice capture of this jay.

I actually like the background and don't find it too distracting and it sets the bird off nicely. Excellent detail and warm colors.

Beautiful bird. I also like the BG. If anything (and not problematic for reasons other than light), I would have tried to move a little to your right.

Gorgeous bird and a nice BG. Eye contact is excellent. I might brighten the overall exposure a bit, and I wouldn't might a little more canvas on the right.

Another Nice shot of this species. The detail and BG look great. I agree with Doug about increasing the exposure by maybe a third or so. Well done.

This is a nice photo of this guy, nice perch and BG.
It appears a bit crunchy for me, but no else mentioned so could be just me.
    Well done.

Excellent portrait here. I think a slight nudge to the centre would improve the composition but still superb as is... the BG is knockout!

Hi Holger, lovely angled pose, shows off the blue on the wing nicely. Im fine with both the BG and comp, just add a touch more to the right.

Looks perfect to me. I like the size of the subject in the frame. The perch works, and I enjoy the little bits of green on it. The exposure looks right on to me, as the white wing patches of the bird and the eye brow white areas look very close to hot, but not hot....What a rich background!

I too love the BG. Neat bird too. I like the size of the bird in the frame, just wish it was a little higher in it. Tough to expose the blacks on the wing, perhaps a touch of fill flash may have given you a bit of detail in there.

Kind of BG that I really like and try myself to get, flat colours are only good for making masking easier :) Looks good to me, he seems to be smiling!
