This was taken at a pond about two miles north of the entrance to Fort Desoto SP, Florida. I like the water colour in this image. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Artie has noted that the larger "space" at the top of the frame is favored for bird guides and the like as I recall. I'm still trying to acquire a taste for the technique even in the crops of my own pics. I think this image would be significantly more appealing with the eye of the bird in the top third of the frame with a pano crop, Jim.

Nice Image, Jim. The low angle works well. colour and details, too.
Perhaps a little bit more crop.

Nice water and perfect duck pose with great eye contact!

Comp works for me but maybe a sliver off the top.

Really nice water colors to showcase this handsome duck in. I enjoy the composition, and appreciate keeping the subject a bit smaller in the frame. You could not go wrong doing that here, due to the yummy colored water. I'm suprised that you did not achieve more of purple sheen on the head.....maybe that's due to molting, as the light angle looks perfect.

Hi Jim, I like the light and detail on the duck, and yes, an interesting colour to the water. Maybe a bit off the top and bottom.
