I was going through some files from last month and run across this one and thought it was really good until I saw Fabs!! Found this guy at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in the rain.

    D300, Bigma at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/250s, 0EV, ISO 500, flash fired at 0EV with bb.

    Comments and critiques are appreciated.

No Tri-colored. This is Harry's fater, Green Heron.

Nicely done, great bg and DOF, Kudos!

A nice portrait of a Green Heron, Harold. Very sharp, great background, and I like the head-on stare. You might consider cropping from the left to emphasize even more the vertical look of this bird. Well done.

    HI Harold,

Extremely sharp with lovely details and BG. The colors are on the money and the composition works for me very well.

    Excellent work.

The BG is a delicatessen, that is what I call a sweet green. Really nice. The frontal pose of the birds is interesting, not the tipical heron portrait and I like to see both eyes and the complete tip sharp. Well done
