I couldn't let Gabriela have ALL the fun with the Springboks in the Kalahari, now could I??

This youngster was being quite boisterous - running, prancing, pronking, being silly. His herd was big, probably at least 400-500 strong. We staked out the herd for a couple of days in the hopes of a cheetah attempting a kill, but none showed their faces.

Awesome image Morkel. Great stance and lovely motion blur with complementary BG.

Haha - this brought a smile to my face - part horse, part donkey with the apparently very long ears! I like it and I think you managed to get just the right SS for the movement. I also find that somewhere between 1/50 and 1/100s is best for most things. Great processing as usual.

Hi Morkel, what a speedy looking image.
I like the crop ,the colors of the Kalahari and the tonal contrast you processed .
In an ideal world the head would have been slightly less blurred but no big deal here.

    Well done ,

    TFS Andreas

Nice amount of blurring here Morkel, with that distinctive Kalahari earth red coming through nicely. Have no problems with head sharpness, as when shooting at these speeds it's typical.
For me I find SS of 1/50s or less for panning blurs, usually around 1/25s, but depends entirely on the speed of the subject

Reminds me of donkey from Shrek, nice happy chappy. Not sure about blurred shots, Marmite I guess, but certainly a bouncy happy shot.

…err…is this perhaps a rabbit? Looks like a rabbit!!!

So cute, well done Morkel, brilliant capture! Love these guys, they can be so entertaining! I so like the leg blur, had a good look at your settings-- will try some fun shots in February, cannot wait to get there

Really fun shot, your settings are very interesting. 1/50s! I should try this sometime. Awesome tones on this, too.
