    Just back from a couple of weeks in the Rio-Grande Valley. I have seen this crest raising behavior a few times over the years but never was able to see it in the viewfinder until this year :-)

    That is something else Alan. Recognised as yours from a mile off ! Perfect pose and the colour- well. makes some of our birds look rubbish !!!

    Amazing image Alan! I didn't know they could raise the crest like that. The IQ, BG and composition are perfect.

    Impressive image as always Alan, one can sometimes make out from a image whom it belongs to and this has all the Alan mark around it
