    The gannets have arrived in force after the recent storms and they can be found hunting quite close to the coast

    This one aborted a dive and flew past my boat while gaining height to try again on the same school of fish

    Slightly cropped and rotated for composition

    Usual PP and sharpening of the subject. Darkened the water slightly and reduced blue saturation on the bird a bit to clean the whites.

    Would have liked more of an angle on the wings but thats what I got

    Decent light, and a great gliding pose and exposure. Love the deep blue ocean bg. Image quality is pretty bad, I'm sure the master file is fine, it looks like a lot of detail got lost with the jpg compression. You should try saving the web jpg with as little compression as possible.

    Hi Shane, well placed in the frame, and nicely separated from the sea BG. Well exposed on both the whites and blacks, and only wish for a better flight pose.
