    Default Wigeon drake

The combination of being busy with work and family and the lack good light has prevented much picture taking as of lately. This image was taken end of Oct 2013. Could have gone wider (not vertical), but there was an ugly stump to the left of the bird and not much canvas available to the right.

7D, 500mm @ 7.1, 1/500, ISO 400, HH, cropped vertical, cloned part of an ugly stump to the left of the birds bill.

    Comments welcome. Thanks!

I know how you feel about being busy and not shooting much, you gotta squeeze it in when you can!

I love the great light, low angle and colors. Exposure is spot on. This crop is not working for me; too cramped. I would prefer a looser horizontal crop with more space on the sides, especially in front. If the stump was too much of a distraction, then you did the best you could with a tough situation.

    Keep them coming!

It is a bit tight and Ic dont't normally go for reflections but this works well for me. Like the" big in face" impact. Great water colour too. Bit more space left would have been good.

Hi Enrique, super low angle with a good HA. I like the detail and colours on the head, and the BG colours compliment the wigeon nicely. I agree with the image being a bit tight, and wonder why you said you couldnt have gone vertical.

I like the low angle, details, HA, sharpness and complimentary water colour. A little tight in the frame for me as well. Nice image Enrique.
