    Default Cheetah Portrait...

I was in two minds whether to post this or not as the blade of grass cut across the cheetah, but since it did noir obstruct the eyes, I thought i will post it. The other blade of grass seems to balance the image I thought. I should have gone for more DOF and raise the ISO bunt well I have learnt my lesson (courtesy BPN)

Sorry Sanjeev, this isn't a patch on your Zebra image, the busy BG is competing too much here and the blades of grass are distracting,
but understand this is nature. What lens did you use, the 500 & 1.4tc, as wondering by your "need more DOF" statement?

Thanks Marc, agree not my best that's why I was reluctant to post it. Could not do much about the BG, still with 5.6 I could diffuse it to some extent. What I meant was I should have upped the ISO to 400-800 and use f/6.3 or 7.1.

Hi Sanjeev - this one's not working for me, sorry. The sharpness and details are great but the pose and expression on the cheetah's face aren't as good as many of your previous work. Sorry for being blunt!

Hi Sanjeev - I have to agree with Marc and Ed on this one. Although the detail and sharpness are good, this one would wind up in the bin for me because of the blade of grass (unless it was my only cheetah shot or only one from a quick sighting). Sorry.

    Hi Sanjeev,
good PP work with nice colors, would give the eyes a tad more light and HiRaLoam , they start to sheen ……
I am fine with the grass , would definitely not bin it, no price winner but still something to keep, unless you have better shots.I do find the BKG more distracting , but that you can tweak to get rid of.

Hi Sanjeev you are certainly on a roll and these images are looking great. Nice detail & clarity, something that you have been working hard on, so well done.

The blade of grass can easily be removed, but like the others have said, keep it in and keep cloning down to a minimum. You could double process the image and deal with the BKG that way, but on an image like this I don't think it's a deal breaker, but this is certainly NOT for the bin.

    Well done.
